21 week update

I'm 21 weeks pregnant today. We had our Gender Reveal Party This past Sunday. It was a blast I feel totally blessed that we had people come to share in the moment when we found out the gender of our un born baby. We had sandwiches, crock pot dishes, chips & dips, punch and soda. And of course the reveal cake, I tricked everyone with a scratch off reveal ! so fun !! then came time to cut the cake !!! I was so excited. I voiced early on I know it's boy... so many voiced they know it's a girl ! Well the moment of truth came.... I cut into the cake pulled up the knife and looked for pink or blue icing with nothing.... cut again still nothing pulled the cake out couldn't see anything and then the blue candy came rolling out ...... It's a boy !!!! I knew it !!! Mattheus Ayden "Theus" We will have Alexander "Alex" Cameron "Cam" Zackariah "Zack" & Mattheus "Theus" and the girls Isabella "Bella" & Emmaleigh "Emma" soooo excited ...... I spent time with friends and family until late that night snuck  away to make a reveal video, which I will post at the bottom. my friend who helped with the cake a special picture of the boy parts which I didn't know she had which will be posted with all the videos. I dropped the kids off at my moms. I didn't get in bed until 1am. Monday was my doctor appointment.  I had my ultrasound and They made me redo my pelvic swabs and blood work...ugh then I talked to the midwife about the the pediatrician on duty over riding my wishes. Since they only have one group of pediatricians allowed at the hospital. She said she didn't they they would but they could. Then talked to me about going to see Cathy, the midwife who delivered Isabella. She told me I would get a more natural birth with Cathy. Plus they have a level 3 NICU. and I have more choices to pediatricians. They take my insurance. They have a birthing center as well as as a L&D. Much more freedom the issue is 26 miles to hammond where I was going to delivery, Cathy is in New Orleans 46 miles away. Which is a little more than an hour. Also I have more family in that direction, Hammond is in the other direction. so I will have more family to help with the kids. If my mom is at work I won't have anyone to help with the kids for the night or two I'm in the hospital. Then I would have to go on my own and Darin would have to be with the children. There too many reason not to switch. I left there with a heavy heart. I Email and called Cathy and I'm going to see her August 14th ! I'm excited. Today I got a phone call from north oaks. I missed the call and the nurse was gone. I'm worried what it could be. We had an ultrasound as far as I know the ultrasound was fine. I don't know what could have have came up in the pelvic or Blood-work, but I'm worried. I ordered my bedding set. And I'm excited to hold this little baby boy ! 

Update: All is fine I just have an overgrowth of natural bacteria  just need an antibiotic.

 

 

20 week update

  I'm 20 weeks !!! Half way there I can't believe it. This week I've been more busy that I could imagine. I thought this was going to be the hardrest week to wait to know if I'm having a girl or boy. This week was very hard to get though not because I'm counting to know if it's a boy or a girl, but because I got a call my uncle passed away Saturday morning. I was shocked and very sad by this news, but more worried about my mom and grandma so I went and stayed with them for a few days trying to help in any way I can to get things together. Today was the service. It was nice small still a little hectic. Nice to see family i haven't seen in a while, but I wish it was for a better reason. My little bump got some attention. Everyone had a guess on what it was only time will tell I still say boy, but we shall see. Now That I"m passed uncle pee wee service I can look forward to the party. It looks like we will have a good turn out. I've got all kinds of things made for the party and I just can't wait to find out. if I'm having a little prince or princess. Week 19 bumpdate

I'm 19 weeks pregnant. My app tells me I have 147 days until my due date ! I can't wait to meet this little baby boy (or girl) ! My party to find out is in 11 days !!! It getting close. I still haven't gained much. I have a 4-5 pound window that my weight flex around depending on what I'm wearing and what I've eating and drank. I'm excited about the party going though old wise tales there is like 5 that say girl and 3 that say boy. I need help on 2 of the old wise tales so please watch the video and send me a comment. I did my 19 week or 18 week and 6 day photoshoot along with some family pictures ...... I will post that below along with this weeks shot ! I really don't have much else to report. No baby buys or anything. I don't see the midwife for 12 more days. I'm feeling great not very pregnant ! having an amazing pregnancy and looking forward to July 4th with the family !

18 week bumpdate

Welcome to week 18 bumpdate of baby Chicken. I'm sorry this week is a little late, due to the fact I had my check-up with the midwife early this week and a late Appointment for our 3-D ultrasound on Thursday. I think I mention we also went on a tour of the hospital. I want to address some of my conrern. I had 2 main issues one being the NICU is not very well so basically if this baby follows it miss Emma's foot steps and comes early (before 35 weeks) I will go to a different hospital with a better NICU, my midwife won't be there I will have to do what they tell me and I won't get the birth I want, but the hospital is a 25 mile drive and If a preemie is a possibility I want to give this baby the best chance to stay inside plus this baby and I need to be together after the birth as much as possible. I want to call our local hospital and ask about the NICU in that case. 2nd issue is newborn hospital pictures. First off the hospital where I'm having baby chicken at doesn't do pictures. That really upset me and I wanted to look into booking with another hospital for pictures. after talking to the hospital. First off it going to be a struggle to book with another hospital 2nd I want pictures to match my other kids

 Now a days they don't do pictures like them.

I really want the pose my other kids have. I also wanted the rainbow backgrd all the kids, but Cameron had. The only reason Cameron had a different one was cause they used he blanket after they were asked not to and by the time I got the pictures he was 3 weeks old and there was nothing I could do. The rainbow backgrd isn't going to happen. I was there for Zack's pictures cause he was a home birth I know how to do it. I have a nice camera and I can do it. The way I look at. I'm going to spend the money on a nice blanket for the background of some nice fabric. Cameron won't be the odd ball out. If I have a boy I will have 2 boys with the rainbow and 2 boys with something different. If i happen to have a girl I will have 1 boy with something different 1 girl with something different and 2 and 2 with the rainbow. I will make it work.

Now I'm 18 weeks Wow ... It seems like time is speeding up a litle July 4th is next week !!! how is that possible and that means the kids go back to school in a little over a month !! I want time to slow down a little It feels like were just starting to enjoy the summer. I did have my 3d ultrasound yesterday. I had the best time went out the eat lunch with a friend from High school she is super awesome and sweet !!! We had a great time talking and eating. We went in for the ultrasound explained the plan of me not finding out. I turned my head early on to make sure the baby showed the goods. Which it did. she told me at that point she already saw it once. makes me think it's a boy. She also called the baby "little dude" when trying to wake it up makes me think boy as well. I'm totally convinced it's a boy ! If I'm wrong I will have a shock of a lifetime ! Anyway the baby was so cute ! gave us the peace sign ! got the most awesome 3-D shot of such a beautiful little baby ! I can't tell if he/she has my features or Darin's yet maybe in the next Ultrasound I will. I even think the baby looks like a boy. I could be wrong but I love this little one already. It's kicking me more and more....totally love it. I can't wait for the party which is July 14th when my friend will reveal if it's a boy or girl. I was totally wired last night. I had a bunch of soda to keep the baby active for the ultrasound. I got home worked on the invites. Then realized I forgot my charger in my friends car got that. Then fought with the invites and went and got them printed out at 1130 at night !! I plan on getting them ready to go out today...here is a sample minus my address and phone number

 I have my ultrasound at the midwifes on July 15th plus 2 more #d at 25 and 30 weeks so we will have a lot of pictures to look fwd to. In 2 weeks I will know for sure if it a boy or maybe even a girl. if it's a boy I'll start calling him by his name, if it a girl I will find her a name. we only have Mattheus Ayden picked out for a boy still trying to decided to call him Matt or Theus :)

Almost 18 week Check-up & hospital tour

I got up and headed in the area of the Midwife early, so I could check out the hospital. I went up to L&D they gave me a tour on the L&D rooms as well as the birthing suite. There's nothing special about them looks like your typical hospital. I also got to see the PP rooms. Asked about Isabella staying the right which, is all fine. The things I do have an issue with is the NICU, if I do have a premmie as well as there no newborn pictures done at the hospital. I may Not have the baby there if I don't make it to 35/36 weeks just go to the closest hospital if I have a preemie, which I hope I don't. As for the hospital pictures. I'm not sure if I could take the baby else where for pictures like another hospital after we are discharged. We had lunch and went for the appointment the HR was in the 150's I gain about a pound so far .... Hopefully I keep it around that I pound a month with 4-5 months left I hoping to not gain more than 10-15 more pounds from here, but we shall see. I will be 18 weeks Wednesday. I see the midwife in 3 weeks. I will be seeing a different one, I also get my Anatomy Ultrasound then on July 15th. I have my 3-D ultrasound this week as well.
